O Armageddon foi um evento pay-per-view promovido pela WWE. Teve sua primeira edição em dezembro de 1999. Após a extensão de marcas, Armageddon passou a ser exclusivo em alguns anos da Raw e outros da SmackDown (até 2004), permitindo que algumas feuds iniciadas no Survivor Series pudessem ser continuadas. O único ano em que o Armageddon não se realizou foi em 2001, por causa dos eventos do 11 de setembro de 2001 e as subsequentes atividades no Afeganistão; o Vengeance ocupou o seu lugar apenas nesse ano.

O nome do pay-per-view acredita-se derivar do Armagedon da Bíblia. As origens deste Pay-Per-View vêm de uma promo que The Undertaker fez em que ele disse "O que era conhecido como SummerSlam é agora conhecido como Armageddon" antes do evento SummerSlam de 1999. A WWE não tinha, na altura, nenhum evento para o mês de dezembro (Rock Bottom e D-Generation X foram realizados anos anteriores) e então foi criado o Armageddon. Foi no Armageddon que ocorreu a única 6-men-Armageddon-Hell in a cel match (Rikishi, HHH, Steve Austin, The Rock, Kurt Angle e Undertaker) vencida por Angle. Em 2009 a WWE substituiu o Armageddon por um novo evento o WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs.
