Over the Limit (2011) foi um evento pay-per-view promovido pela WWE, ocorreu no dia 22 de maio de 2011 no Key Arena na cidade de Seattle, Washington. Esta foi a segunda edição da cronologia do Over the Limit.

Antes do evento

Na edição da Raw do dia 9 de maio foi definida a primeira luta do evento, Alberto Del Rio se lançou como desafiante número um pelo WWE Championship, porém foi contestado por Rey Mysterio e na sequência por The Miz. R-Truth tentou se candidatar ao título, mas o General-Manager "anônimo" da Raw determinou que ocorreria uma Triple threat match entre Del Rio, Miz e Rey Mysterio e que o vencedor garantiria o direito a luta. The Miz venceu. O WWE Champion John Cena anunciou que a estipulação da luta seria "I Quit" match ("Eu desisto"). E também foi confirmado que Jerry Lawler enfrentaria Michael Cole, com a estipulação que caso Cole vencesse seria introduzido no WWE Hall of Fame e Lawler lhe entregaria seu anel de membro do HOF. Na edição da SmackDown foi anunciado que Randy Orton defenderia o World Heavyweight Championship contra Christian. E também foi confirmado que Wade Barrett defenderia o WWE Intercontinental Championship contra Ezekiel Jackson.

O evento

O evento iniciou com um vídeo em homenagem a Randy Savage falecido na sexta-feira anterior ao evento. Na primeira luta R-Truth derrotou Rey Mysterio, Truth venceu após um "STO-like". Ezekiel Jackson derrotou Wade Barrett por desqualificação, com o resultado Barrett manteve o WWE Intercontinental Championship; Barrett foi desqualificado quando Justin Gabriel e Heath Slater atacaram Ezekiel. Sin Cara derrotou Chavo Guerrero, Sin Cara venceu após um "tilt-o-whirl facebuster" seguido de um "roll-up ". Big Show e Kane derrotaram CM Punk e Mason Ryan para manterem o WWE Tag Team Championship, a vitória foi conseguida após um duplo "Chokeslam" em Rayne. WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella derrotou Kelly Kelly para manter o título, Bella venceu após um "Twin Magic". Randy Orton derrotou Christian para manter o World Heavyweight Championship, Orton venceu após um "RKO". Jerry Lawler derrotou Michael Cole, pela estipulação Cole teve que colocar o pé Lawler dentro de sua boca. No evento principal John Cena derrotou The Miz, Cena forçou Miz a dizer "I Quit" com um STF.
